Schedule B number
The 10-digit U.S. export classification code, maintained by the Census Bureau and reported on Electronic Export Information filings.
A Schedule B number is the code used to classify goods exported from the United States. It is maintained by the U.S. Census Bureau, which uses it to compile export statistics. Like the HTS code, it has 10 digits and its first six match the international HS code.
Exporters report the Schedule B number (or the HTS code, which is also accepted for most goods) when they file Electronic Export Information. Foreign customs authorities generally only care about the first six digits.
