SCAN form
A USPS form with one barcode that records acceptance of many packages at once, so each one gets an acceptance scan.
A SCAN form (Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice, PS Form 5630) is a single page with one barcode that represents a batch of USPS packages. When the USPS employee scans it at pickup or drop-off, every package on the form receives an acceptance scan.
Without a SCAN form, packages may not show tracking activity until their first individual scan later in the network, which can confuse customers. Shipping software generates SCAN forms from the labels created that day.
