Packing slip

A document placed inside a package listing the items in the order, used to check contents and process returns.

A packing slip lists the items included in a shipment, with quantities and usually SKUs, the order number and the shipping address. Warehouse staff use it to pick and verify orders, and customers use it to check what they received.

Unlike an invoice, a packing slip usually does not show prices, which makes it suitable for gifts. Many sellers add return instructions or a promotional message to it.
