Ground vs express shipping

Ground moves parcels by truck at lower cost over several days; express uses air and priority handling for guaranteed fast delivery.

Ground shipping moves packages by truck through the carrier's ground network. It is the most economical parcel option, and transit time depends on distance, usually measured in business days by zone.

Express shipping, such as next-day and two-day services, uses air transport and priority handling. It costs more and often comes with a delivery time commitment, sometimes backed by a money-back guarantee that carriers may suspend in peak seasons.

Because ground transit to nearby zones can be as fast as an express service, comparing both for each order is a common way to keep delivery promises at lower cost.
