FTL (full truckload)
A freight service where one shipper books an entire truck, which travels directly from pickup to delivery.
Full truckload (FTL or TL) shipping dedicates a whole trailer to one shipper. The truck usually goes straight from origin to destination without stopping at terminals, which means less handling and faster, more predictable transit than LTL.
FTL is priced by the trip, based mainly on distance, equipment type and market demand, rather than by freight class. It makes sense for large shipments or when goods need to stay sealed and undisturbed.
