EORI number
An identification number businesses need to import into or export from the European Union, with a separate version in the UK.
An Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number identifies a business in customs filings across the European Union. Any company that imports into or exports from the EU needs one, including non-EU companies that act as importer.
The United Kingdom issues its own EORI numbers (starting with GB) since leaving the EU. Sellers shipping DDP to the EU or UK, or using an import scheme such as IOSS, often need an EORI number from the relevant authority.
